The ONE night we were BIG Florida Fans !!

Our good friends Maghan and Hal had a SEC Championship/Christmas Party the other Saturday. It was a party full of mostly our tailgating crew-- Minus a few and Plus a Few. It was a great chance to see our tailgating gang again and meet some new friends. We ate and grazed by the food ALL day long. Between the snacks everybody brought and all the wonderful food that Maghan had prepared-- well I know I gained a few pounds, but it was yum yummy !!! So we saw friends, ate, chatted, you know we played Dirty Santa, but mostly we CHEERED LOUD for FLORIDA !! This was the ONE day we were HUGE Florida Fans!! We did the Gator Chop all afternoon !! In fact here is a picture of Michael, Hal (doing the gator chop), and Scott smoking there "victory" cigar after the game.
Scott, Hal, Brooke, Justin, Michael, and I celebrating "our" big victory !!

All the girls hanging out !!

Maghan and I
Hal brought the Cheesy Doritos maker home and made original Momma G's nachos for us. I personally cannot stand the smell of Doritos, so I did not partake.. but I know EVERYBODY else loved them, Hal could not make them fast enough.

I told ya'll we grazed by the food all day. The kitchen was the cool place to be. Scott, Justin, Justin, and Hal
Lindsey and Maghan

Time for Dirty Santa !!!

Dirty Santa was very fun and of course it did get kind of "dirty".. Ok so Michael and I ganged up and made it dirty, but in the end we ended up with one Super Cute Brown Throw and a Visa Gift Card !! Love it !!!

The night was a success... We had fun and "our" GATORS pulled out the victory !!!

Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly

Not really sure what "boughs of holly" is, but with all of our decorations I am sure we have it !!
Between Friday, Saturday, and Sunday... It took hours and hours, but by Sunday late afternoon.. it was done.. The house was clean and the Christmas decorations were up.
One of my favorite areas is the fireplace. I love it decorated and having a fire while it is cold is the best.

Michael loves Nutcrackers so we have been been collecting them ever since we got married. This year I decided to try something different with them. I put them up the stairs. I love the way it looks and the puppies have not been messing with them.

The bigger the Christmas Tree the better. With our tall ceilings I would love to have a HUGE one, but 9 feet is great too. I am very particular with what goes on our tree. The picture does it no justice.

The lamp post in our foyer !!

Momma gave us this plate during the Thanksgiving Holidays.. War Eagle !!

I think this little thing is so cute. It sticks in a plant. The cute little store beside my gym sells this line and I have one of these for many holidays.

This is only the tip of the iceberg, but I picked out some of my favorite things. Having my house decorated for Christmas makes me very happy. If there was ever a year to decorate I would say it is this season. Going home turning on only the Christmas lights and having a fire is very relaxing.

Of course the outside of our house is decorated as well. I will post those later !!

Is it worth it ???

It is no secret that I love decorating my house for Christmas and do we ever have ALOT of decorations. Between our Christmas Shower, me buying stuff, and ALL the stuff my kids give me..... We have it ALL !! Every year I have to buy another bin to hold it all. Michael says if we keep it up we will have 100 Christmas bins by the time we are 50 !! Is there a problem with that??

This past Friday I started getting everything down from the attic and Michael helped me get the rest Saturday..

These pictures show only a SMALL percentage of what we got down from the attic!!!

Getting it down is fine, decorating the house is great... enjoying it is the best.... But putting it up after Christmas, well that just plain sucks !!!!

All of that work for 4 weeks.. I ask you is it worth you !!!

IT IS TO ME !!!!!

Iron Bowl in Destin

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving we were done with the turkey on to the orange and blue !!!! We headed to Anglers, which is a big sports watching restaurant. There is a big sports bar area upstairs. This is a family friendly place, so Mac came along with us. The Fl vs FSU game was on at the same time, so there were plenty of people there. Between Florida, FSU, Auburn, and Bama fans, the place was packed !!!
I am going to be honest with ya'll.... I have never been so ready for a game to be over. I love football, but that was no fun !!! And that is all I am going to say about that !!
Me with two of my favorite boys (Michael and Mac).

Mac and I at Anglers

Even Khaki was sad about the bad lose !! (Khaki is my parent's 5 year old Cocker Spaniel)

Hey Bama... we still have the last 6 years and I am going to hang onto those...
We will get um next year !!!
WAR EAGLE !!!!!

Viking Football... The State Playoffs !!

For Thanksgiving we were off to Destin. This is only the second Thanksgiving we have ever spent in Destin, growing up we usually spent it with my Grandparents in Fayette, Al. But Mac's Football team was in the State Finals. They have already won their District and now trying to make it to State. Mac is a junior and starts on both Defense and kickoff team. I have been looking forward to watching him play, this is the first game all season we have made it. It was a rainy, humid, just plain yuck night. But I will say that it was suppose to pour down rain during the entire time, but did hold off during the game. I was glad.. I would have done it, but I was not looking forward to sitting through the rain.
Here is the guys as they were about to run through the banner !!!

MAC #4

Go get um !!!!!

This is how Mac stands (everytime), while waiting for the next play to be called. He is looking at the coaches on the sidelines.

Blue 32.. Blue 32... Hut !!!!

It was a GREAT GAME... FWB scored with only a few minutes left to take the lead. Then Pace drove the ball and tried a field goal during the last seconds of the game.. THEY MISSED and WE WON !!!! Final Score !! (we played at Pace, so we were the Guest)

Everyone running on the field after the game was over !!After the game Mac was walking around and I caught this picture. It is my favorite of the night.

Shaking the coaches hand as he was telling Mac what a great game he played.

My family !!! Michael, Me, Daddy, Mac, and MommaMac and I

You know I am really into Auburn and have always said I will die at early age due to heart failure at an Auburn game. But it is a COMPLETELY different story when you "have" someone you love so much on the field playing. That was a very exciting game and my heart dropped many times. What a big win.. Now they are in the Final 8 !!!! This is FLORIDA football, which is in a league of its own.. It is serious down there...

FWB is one of the 8 best teams in Florida.. That is something ya'll... and MY brother is part of that !!! Mac I am so proud of you.. You had a great game and I am glad I was there to see it !! Best of Luck !!! I love you !!!

Gobble Gobble Georgia

Aubie says.... Gobble Gobble !!!!
Because it was a 11:30 kickoff we decided not to do the "blow out" tailgate we were planning.. Way to early for me.. Plus it was super cold !! But Michael and I still made the trip to see our Tigers play the Georgia Bulldogs.. Before the game we were walking around with 2 fingers in the air... trying to get tickets... When some Georgia fan hands Michael an envelope... With two tickets inside... For free... and they were in not in the Georgia section... Hey works for us !! Thanks man and Welcome to Jordan-Hare.. come back anytime !!
Once again this was not a victorius win for our beloved Auburn Tigers, but it was a much better game and gave us a little hope for the future.

At least I got some cute pictures of Aubie... What a Cutie !!!

Dorothy and The Murderer

On Halloween night we were invited by a friend of Michael's from Charter (where he used to work) to her Halloween Party.
Oh course because I have to dress up every year at the gym I have a bundle of costumes to pick from.. This is not the case for Michael. And I know Michael, he will wait and then the night before ask me to come up with something for him.. So was the case a few years ago when after a month of asking and asking I end up at Walmart the night before Halloween (by myself) coming up the a "Goal Post" costume.. You read that right.. A Goal Post Costume.. You guessed it.. That was Michael's Idea. Remembering this I asked for the entire month of October "What are you going to be this year" or "Do you want to go the Halloween Store".. I kept getting the same answers... "It is way to early to think about that". So on the way to the party.. on Halloween night... around 7:30......pm.... we were at Walmart and this is what we came up with (they were a little picked over).. Unfortunately you are unable to see the long, black, hooded cape that is making this costume complete. You gotta to love It !!! Are you kidding me.. This is an original... I need that.. I have to have that... (see prior post of my obsession with the Kennedy's). Again you guessed correct, the owner of this ORIGINAL Kennedy for President Poster was in no mood to sell !!! Sad Day !!
As I am walking around trying to see what other cool stuff these people might have, Toto wondered to my feet. Ok not the real Toto, but so very close. This cute little puppy hooped right in my basket (with a little help) and was happy to stay there. My costume was complete !!
My "Toto" was a little smelly, but very cute !!!

Very Random, but Fun night.. I love to dress up, which means I love Halloween. Another year of Halloween done.. Now to start thinking about what to be next year !!!!!
