We Were Off To See The Wizard !!

Last weekend was so much fun for so many reasons !!
My Mom and her good friend Marti came in town on Thursday evening. Mrs. Marti works with my mom and was also my 3rd grade teacher oh so many years ago. Good Ole Destin Elementary !!
We spent Friday shopping all the boutiques and other cute shops all around town !
Then it was on to the MAIN EVENT !!
My good friend Rachel W. told me OVER a year ago that WICKED was coming to Birmingham and we could get a group rate through her. So of course I called my mom right away and we started planning..
We have been so excited and I could not believe that it was actually here..
Before we knew it WE WERE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD !!!

When we walked in the gentlemen lead us to our seats. He kept going down and down.. WOW.. Our seats were on the FIRST row right in the middle. They could not have been any better.

Oh my word.. I LOVED IT !! There were no words to explain how wonderful WICKED was. Everything from the set, to the costumes, to the actors... Just Wonderful !!!
I think I set in AWE the entire time with the biggest smile on my face...
And while at the BJCC I saw that GREASE and The Wizard of Oz are both coming to Birmingham.. HUM !!! Sounds like a plan to me !!!

I've Learned

I have received this email a few different times in the last few weeks and every time I read it I love it more. I decided to share it.. Hope ya'll enjoy too !!

So my friend Sarah Smith from my gym in Montgomery, tagged me on facebook. And so this was started... Once I read the "tag" I knew I was hooked.. This had my name written all over it and I also knew it would be perfect for our Blogs... So here are the rules !!!

6 years !!!!

Our 6 year Anniversary !!!

Michael made reservations at Flemings in the Summit..

We spent the day hanging out and doing stuff together. We slept in, ate some breakfast, and spent a little time with our anniversary gift to each other .... hum interesting....

More to come on this gift later !!!

Dinner was wonderful.. We each got a steak and as sides we got creamed spinach (my favorite), some kind of loaded mash potatoes, and mac and cheese (the fancy kind)... And the best part was the dessert... Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream..... side note... not as good as Shula's, but VERY tasty !!

This was about all I could get from Michael.... Hey at least it is not the Louisiana Point !!

Six years has flown by... I think of all we have done in 6 years !!! We have had some very fun times and some very hard times, but isn't that what marriage is all about. Our marriage is by no means perfect, but I think we are very lucky because first and foremost we are best friends. That is how our relationship started, we were best friends for 2 years before we even dated..

Funny..... God knew what he was doing the whole time !!! And something about me says he still does !!
