SawGrass Part 1: Driving, BarBQ, and Dominos

After looking forward to it for over a month it was time to head out to our favorite cabin. Our friend Rachel Woodward's family owns a hunting cabin in Gainesville, Alabama. Once or twice a year our LifeGroup (from church) heads out that way for a fun filled weekend. So this past weekend 8 couples got together headed out to SawGrass Plantation. After packing up our sleeping bags, baked goodies, and old clothes.. we went over to The Penter's.. No, our favorite cabin is not in Hoover at Martina and Camron's house, but we did catch a ride with them.
Once we pulled into SawGrass everyone was outside sitting around talking. While we were waiting on a few couples to still get there we unloaded our car and took a few pictures.
(L to R) Ashely C, Lanie W, ME, Martina P. (with Colton in her belly), and Jamie G.

I could not leave the guys out of the picture taking fun. As you can see they LOVE to take pictures. They only complained most of the time about the pictures, not all the time.
(L to R) Camron P, Bret W, Jared W, Michael, Shaun C, and Ben G.).. By the way, even though this does kindof look like a pyramid (tall in center and then stair steps down on each side)...this was not planned. There is NO way they would ever let us do that.

After enjoying the late evening of early summer we headed inside. For dinner.. yum yum.. it was the famous DreamLand BarBQ.. For dessert..yum yum.. Nana Pudding and all the other goodies everyone brought. We ended the night with around 3 hours of Mexican Train Dominos. I had never played before, but loved it. Ok I loved it after a few games. The first few I was not really feeling it because I did so bad. After playing and talking bunches about our blogs we decided to go on and get ready for bed, we knew we had a SUPER FUN DAY ahead of us. Saturday was a blast and SawGrass Part 2 will tell more about it.. Just keep on checking "Perfectly Pink" because there are MANY MANY more pictures to come.

A BIG THANK YOU ....... to Rachel and her family...

You were smart to get a picture of the Sawgrass sign out front! I should have gotten one! I like your blog.
