First Baby Gift

The Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving Michael and I got to Prattville and there was a gift sitting on the bed in the room where we stay.
It said..."Baby Mullen"
Our First Baby Gift....
You have NO clue how long I have been waiting to get a baby gift..
It was a sweet little sleeper outfit that can be worn by a boy OR girl.. Anything bought these days needs to be able to go either way....
After we ate dinner Mrs. Daffin and I headed to Target.. But this was no ordinary Target trip..
We registered..... So under "Baby Mullen" there is a baby registry at Target.. If it came in Pink and Blue we registered for both... I can always take one color off right..
It was so much fun and Mrs. Daffin was a HUGE help.
We had a laid back Thanksgiving day where we ate yummy food, watched good football, and relaxed. Which was all good because I was not feeling very good.
We had to get up early because Mrs. Daffin and I were shopping.. Belk opened at 4AM and we were there before the doors even opened.
We went to Target right after Belk because they opened at 5AM. We got in line around 10 till. They were giving these cute Target bags to the first 500 people in the door. I was number 503...
That is right not only did I not get a cute bag and you read that right... BEFORE the doors opened there was already more than 500 people in line..
Crazy I tell ya..
Just CRAZY!!!

Play Day for Perfectly Pink TuTus

Smith's Variety in Mountain Brook invited us to their "Play Day". This was a big shopping day where their vendors had tables set up around the store to showcase some fun stuff for Christmas Presents. This happen to be on the Saturday after Mac's football game that I was suppose to be at. Mac was very understanding, but I was broken up. On Friday night as I made tutus I listened to the game on the web. It went into over time and was a GREAT game. At the end I was shaking so bad I had to stop sewing because I kept pricking myself. FWB pulled out the victory and I cried.. Man did I want to be there...
Smith's was a good experience and a great way to start to get our name out.
Check out me in my Tutu....
We sold a few tutus and got great feedback. We handed out so many flyers and I hope ALL those people will go on the website and order some tutus..

Road Trip to Athens

Michael and I headed out early Saturday morning and headed to Athens to watch our Tigers play.
We always try to make it to Tiger Walk to support our boys..
It always amazes me how many people there are at away Tiger Walks.. In Athens we looked one way and saw nothing but people....
Then looked the other way and saw the same thing..
How AWESOME is that!!
Michael and I at Tiger Walk
Michael and I headed up the stairs and to our seats in the stadium.
It was a cold one and a great football game.. Sad Day.. it did not quite end the way we would have hoped, but WOW was it a great game....
After the game we headed to Atlanta to spend the night with Tim and Pruit (Michael's Buddy from High School who got married a few months ago).. We had a blast spending time with them on Sunday and can't wait to go back..
We will get you next year Georgia!!

With Mac's football schedule it has been hit and miss with my family coming to games this year. But the week of Auburn's Homecoming Mac played on Thursday night, so they were Auburn Bound. Michael and I headed to Auburn on Friday night to spend the night with them.
I LOVE this picture of me with Mac and Michael...Good Grief I love both of these boys WAY too much...

Mac and I in the Stadium.. Wow he looks happy... I think I had taken only around 100 pictures at this time and he was OVER it..
Michael was WAY over my picture taking and had reached his limit for the day, so when it was time to take this family picture... well he just kept on walking....
HE MISSED OUT...
I love my family being in Auburn. It brings back all the memories of me as a kid. I can't wait for when they are in Auburn with us WAY MORE....
Homecoming Day was so much fun...

What did Michael Get??

On Sunday, October 25, 2009 Michael turned 30.. Finally !!! His claim to fame is that I am older than him.. Seriously, by not even 4 whole months... Does that even count?
Michael's mom and Step dad came up to help us celebrate. We ate at Cheesecake Factory and then headed to our house for presents.
Every year I say no more Auburn stuff.. And like always that failed, miserably!
At least I know he likes it all... Including this Auburn vest that I just love...
Michael's mom got him a Master's Visor...
And then he opened up his big present from her...
As you can tell from the look on his face, he LOVED IT...
She got him a Garmin...
And that was all she wrote... He just wanted to play with that Garmin...
Jessa's Gifts WHAT....
No.. all kidding aside, I know he liked everything...
It was a nice laid back birthday for him..
HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY BABE..
I LOVE YOU!!

Michael's Birthday Dinner

I had heard that the Melting Pot was having a special on the weekend of Michael's Birthday. For a certain price two people could eat 4 courses, each get a glass of wine, plus roses on the table. Sounded perfect for Michael's Birthday Dinner. He invited his dad and I made reservations for three...
Michael and I as we were decided what yum yum things we wanted. Neither of us had ever been, so we had a blast..
Michael and his dad as we were leaving..You pretty much had to roll us out of there.. 4 courses is ALOT of food, but WOW was it good.We both decided that dessert was the BEST...
I think next time we are just going for wine and dessert!!!
More Birthday Fun to Come...

Pace For Grace 2009

Many of you may have heard me talk about "my" Grace. Grace has been taking gymnastics from me almost as long as I have been working for Premier. I take great pride in her and the many things she has learned to do over the years.
Every year she has invited me to be apart of "Pace for Grace". Which is her team that raises money for Adult Down Syndrome. This is the first year that we have been in town and it has worked out for us to go.
Grace's team raised the most money out of every team so she got to cut the ribbon and start the walk.
Here is Grace waiting to cut the ribbon. Laura and Chris (Grace's parents) are at the front with her. Behind her are friends and family. The children in the yellow shirts are Grace's Classmates.
Grace ready to cut !!!
(Check out all those animal bracelets on her arm) The other day she grabbed my arm and asked "Mrs. Jessa, where are your animal bracelets?" I told her I think I am to old for animal bracelets, but she insisted that I needed some.. Thanks Grace, but I will save them for you darlin...

I am so glad we were able to participate this year. Grace is very special to me and I love her very much!!

Auburn vs Kentucky.. A Cold One!

Michael and I woke up Saturday morning and ran some errands... For the first time in weeks we were not out of town or in Auburn by early am to tailgate. Do not get me wrong both of those things I love.. but it was very nice to get some stuff done on a Saturday morning.. It was a cold morning.. We bundled up and headed to Auburn. Since we were not tailgating we decided to walk around a little and enjoy the city we LOVE...
It was been forever since we got our picture taken in front of the Auburn sign... I had to beg Michael, but he finally gave in and we took a few...
At Tiger Rags I was trying to get Aubie to lean down and give me kiss, but he just stood there....
The upper deck is my favorite place to sit.. I get to see the entire game and get a great view of beautiful Auburn... Watching the sun go down while in Jordan-Hare can't be beat...
With that Blue Sky and Orange Sun.. You know God is an Auburn Tiger...
Yes the upper deck is my favorite place to sit in Jordan Hare, but WOW does it get cold up there...We were all bundled up and were still cold....
Tailgating in Auburn on a football Saturday is AWESOME and one of my favorite things to do, but there is something to be said for just walking around and enjoying your surroundings...
I love it in AUBURN.....

We were all beat, but we had an AWESOME weekend...
If you can believe it... I actually picked my favorite pictures to post.. That is right, I only posted a fraction of what I took.. And that fraction totaled 6 parts... Is that some kind of record??
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Peebles...
Getting together with my high school friends always proves to be a blast..
Can't wait for us all to get together again !!!
